I just found this:
?
whoa, yeah you’re right. I wonder what happened to it. Google hasn’t updated yet
sad … now It is obvious that yafray project is dead. All, support aqsis development and blender->rib exporter. =)
In that case what will happen to the built-in Yafray renderer?.. will Blender have a new renderer?..
Works fine to me

Really? Maybe it’s cached in ur browser.
Ok, it could be a proxy server of my connexion provider, so maybe yafray is offline.
Coral cache (http://www.yafray.org.nyud.net:8090/) gives me the same result but http://www.yafray.org/ works normally for me.
I suspect that it had expired for a moment but it seems to work normally now so I think there’s no reason to worry.
<edit> d’oh Just tried www.yafray.org and it didn’t work. Strange. It seems there ~is~ reason to worry.</edit>
YAFRAY has been a reliable realistic renderer for quite a long time, I don’t believe it will be gone just like that.

So right man.
yafray.org is 101% out of order now. Update Ur proxy and/or browser cache and start working on blender->rib exporter.
sorry, what does rib exporter do?
That is such a nice thing that will allow blender users render their scenes with industry standart renderman compatible renderers like prman, aqsis and pixie.
Obvious? Wow! I hope you won’t never have a problem with your telephone company and your friends arrived to the same conclusion
Only kidding. We have a problem with domain registration. Hopefully it will be solved soon. YafRay emerged from the ashes!!!
Luis.
the death of yafray makes me cry…
crying
why ? it could have been so good…it was an amazing piece of software and now its gone…
cries some more

i hate to tell you but renderman is not the industry standard, Mental Ray is, at least if you are talking about photorealistic rendering, which i can only assume you are given the context of this thread.
also you could be a little less demanding in you ‘requests’ for renderman support.
