I have Windows 7 Pro x64, blender 2.49b, and Python 2.6.2. But whenever i export to Yafray, i get the “windows error 988 invalid access to memory location” Is this a problem with support for Windows 7?
You don’t say if you are, but yafaray does not work with 64bit versions of blender. On your 64bit system. you need to run it with a 32bit version.
Richard
i am using blender 32 bit. Not sure why it isn’t working
Its normal with Microsoft products. Like this Windows Vista 7.
Yes, Windows is protecting you from using memory so you don’t get a virus or actually use your system.
You might be having a problem with your DEP (Data Execution Prevention) configuration.
It tries to make your system safe by blocking parts of the memory the system thinks your program shouldn’t use. Try making it less annoying.
On the Windows XP its configuration is on System Properties -> Advanced -> Performance -> Configuration -> Data Execution Prevention
No experience with Windows 7 and my windows is in Portuguese . I hope it helps you.
i will give this a try, thanks guys
it is turned on only for “essential windows programs and services” there is no “off” option.
That is how it should be…
Ever thought about running a dual boot system?
i had dual boot when i used the rc, but since i got the full version, i reformatted. Anyway, i figured it out now, thankyou all
You might want to elaborate on that so people with same problem find a solution too.
BTW. Is it hard to compile Yafaray to windows x64? Lately I haven’t seen any 64 bit builds for windows (yafaray developers don’t have platform maintainer for Win 64, but it’s strange that there are no community builds either).
I have win 7 x64 too.
sorry, ya i was going to mention how i did it, but forgot. IN ORDER TO GET YAFARAY WORKING WITH 64BIT VERSIONS OF WINDOWS 7 (maybe vista/XPx64 as well) YOU MUST USE YAFARAY 0.1.1 RC3
note: you MUST be using Python 2.6.2 32bit and blender 2.x 32bit Yafaray will not work with 64bit versions of either of these.
