Yamaha Rx6 modeling

Hi ,
I had already done this model 8-9 months back but at the time I had just started to learn Blender. Any way arangle wanted a image and mesh of this yamaha for his website. And I was unable to send this mesh cause, I flirted with lod’s of polygons at that time :wink: and the zipped version was hefty near 2mb. And after few denials from arangle’s mail box I finally thought to keep it straight and here I am re-modeling the Yamaha rx6.

I have done almost all the modeling and this time around I have put up good ammount of details in the model itself and the mesh is clean at the same time and fun thing is zipped size is neat 760kb Yay…, any way here the blenders raytraced image. of the work under progress.

I have to create the textures for the petrol tank, the engine-body etc. In the mean time " A very Blendeing New Year" to you all :slight_smile:

any suggestion’s and comments are welcome :slight_smile:
here goes the image;

First off - you can not direct link from Geosh*&ies. So copy and paste the following link to view:

Now, for the model itself, I have to say WOW! Very detailed and looks fantastic. Colours are also very nice. Just add some nice reflective materials and it will be great.

Wow, that is excellent. I think it could benifit from a few image textures though (e.g. reflectors). :slight_smile:

Wow! Cool! Make the shadows softer, turn OSA up a bit, and give it an environment (maybe a factory) and it’ll be perfect!

Hi,

A little more work done , textures added three-dee, and worked on the model a bit.

check it here

Greatly improved.

Only suggestion now is to work on your lighting. The shadows could be softer. Maybe try raytraced shadows, or doing a fake GI dome set-up. Should solve your problems there.

Looking great! :slight_smile: If you put this in a scene (perhaps a showroom) it would be an excellent image for the gallery (although it does look great on it’s own anyway). :smiley:
