Yeah..Im a noob with a question...but I'm loving it...

:o
First off I wanted to say a big gargantuan THANKS!!! to everyone involved in creating and developing Blender. I LOVE THIS PROGRAM…!!!.. I have had Electric Image Animation System for some years now and have had no luck with anything, modeling or animating, and everything blender comes with cost extra for EIAS…I.E. cloth sims, liquid, hair, fire or physics of any kind…so again thanks…

Now my first noob question…

I have not found any documentation on Camera/Projection mapping is this possible with blender.
Also the camera seems a bit simple…will there be improvements to this?

Hi Zeeple

Welcome to Blender Artists. Theirs a great camera mappling tutorial at Peereless Productions site. http://www.peerlessproductions.com/tuts.html

You say the camera looks a bit simple; nothings simple in Blender just dig a little deeper and you will find all sorts of functionality. If it’s not in Blenders controls there will probably be a script that adds what’s needed.

By the way this would probably be better posted in one of the support forums.
But welcome anyway.

Do you mean this, possibly? I’m not quite sure what you mean by projection mapping, but this is the cloest thing I can think of. :] http://wiki.blender.org/index.php/Manual/UVProject_Modifier

One possible way to project is to use Object mapping type. You can use it map textures by using empties for instance. This can be useful for adding decals etc. to models.

Thanks alot guys…

Sorry about the post in the wrong place…still trying to adjust to this whole blender universe…There is so much content that I do not even know where to begin…
