Intrr don’t let him get to you, I think this scene has a great deal of potential. With a little texturing and some clouds in that sky, maybe an envmap, that’d be SWEET. You should definitely do it in yafray. Keep up the hard work man!

Theeth, you should remind people that unfinished projects go in the “WIP” section.
Intrr - Try using the different mapping buttons in the middle of the materials window to rotate the envmap. And maybe make the sky so that it SUCKS LESS. You loser.
VERY COOL. im not being sarcastic, i really like the new colors, very nice, but tone down the background, to the purple of the cube, i kno it wasnt what you were looking for, but i think its cool
BUT IT’S FINISHED! I even added an ENVMAP! I HAVE TO render it in YAFRAY because blender’s renderer SUCKS, but i can’t get YABELZ to werk! I think I have C:\PYTHON not installed! CAN SOMEONE PLZ INSTALL YAF?

In all seriousness though…that render is pretty cool. It doesn’t suck man. Just keep at it and try and bevel the edges. I hope this helps!!

Hey Desoto-111, I put my foot in my mouth once like that too, I wasn’t privy to the “Inner Circle”. You know what though, I realized that leather and rubber soles don’t taste so bad…LOL…and also, most all these guys are pretty much straight up Gents…

DUDE! That’s so cool! It reminds me of that movie the ring! With all that trippy stuff in it! I think you should animate that cube moving around or spinning or something, or maybe add some colors to it! Maybe a particle system or something! Awesome man!
And by the way, I like the purple and grey cube the best, that last one really sucks tomatoes…

I’m really impressed, intrr!
I particularly love the ‘full illumination’ on the pink wall you had in the first blender render. That sort of got lost in the Yafray version, which is a bit of a pity. That groovy envmap reflection could perhaps be simulated in Yafray somehow.
I’ve seen quite a lot of half-assed renders here in Finished Projects lately, but this one really raised the bar. Great job!
