Yes, another steering actuator question

Quick question, does the steering actuator work with static objects (static object has steering actuator attached to it)?
I tried it and everything went crazy so I’m assuming no…
But I just wanted to know whether or not you guys have found a solution with it.

Afaik it only works on dynamic objects. You can bypass that by getting the path in python and moving the static object using python.

How would I get the path in python?

Cant remember exactly without looking at the api, but its something like:

navmesh = scene.objects['Navmesh']
path = navmesh.findpath(own.position, target.position)
print (path) # path is a list of positions

Hope this helps

Alright thanks! :smiley:
