Just make a shameless rip-off of Pokemon (and other things) like the Palworld devs. Problem solved!
Fun fact: Pokemon didn’t quite invent the monster-collecting RPG genre, either. They just popularized it and to this day make the most marketable characters, like cuddly little Eevee, here. I think Shin Megami Tensei and Dragon Quest Monsters did this type of gameplay earlier.
