i’ve only done the modeling on the front turbine and a bit of the top frames so far… colors are mostly temp.
please give me some comments and suggestions %|

I really liked the sketch, but I think the model is not really staying true to it. The F1 on your drawing looked a lot tougher, powerful, I liked that about it, your model is good but would be better if you pumped it up some more

edit: I re-read my post and I decided to be more precise :), by pumping it up I mean making the front a bit wider, and making some of the elements (you know, the overlaying layers on top of the ship i.e.) a bit more rounded instead of blocky and stick out more. Keep it up!
dude!
i’m relooking the sketch right now and I realise that it looks like a dragon’s head!
Was that your intention :)?
In that case be sure to add the reptile eye style to the cockpit window,
originality like that sure gets you my vote
however you didn’t really pump it up now, i must say i like it a lot better,
keep it up, don’t let me down andy!
yeah, my goal was creating a skull-like hover F1 driven and kept in the air by heavy turbines. in that case it looks like the skull of a goat or a dragon :<
that reptile eye idea is great, i see how i can use it…
Anyway, WOw Alot better than when you shown it to me! So much details!
A suggestion: The front “turbine” don’t look enough “solid”…I mean only little metal thingi attach it to the body. the reactor would fly away when started…no? (sorry for the bad use of lots of word in that last sentence…I didn’t know how to explain…sorry)
/me open blender and continu working on my f1…need lots mmore if I want to win
of course, it’s all blender since no external rendering is allowed. why does everyone think it’s not blender? only because there are some cheesy blinn materials applied?
UPDATE
didnt change very much, just mirrored the engines, added some wires and worked on the back fin.
and now back to blenderrenderenderingvroooooooooooooooom…

uhmm…why do you think they are not?[/quote]
Something about the lighting doesn’t look very “Blender-like” to me. Blender has many, many good qualities, but its simplistic handling of lighting is not one of them. I would be extremely happy to learn the pics were produced by Blender, so I figured I’d ask.
Blender’s lighting is very tricky to get a handle on. There are many setups that can produce this result, (3 point, fake GI, etc.), and there are many tutes listed here in the Q&A forum under the Tutorials listing.
Take a look at some of those tutes, and if you need any help, just post a question, we are more than happy to help.
