Yet another fantastic realistic animation...y'all

Aha get it? Y.A.F.R.A.Y.

Fine that wasn’t funny. Well I’m pretty new here for those of you who don’t know me already, just signed up yesterday. I’ve always wanted to make a 3-d short-film and thanks to Blender my puny little dream is coming true. What a wonderful story. Anyway I’m not sure what I’m gonna do yet, so you can see I’m almost done. I know it’ll be in a house, because I really feel like making a house. I already started one room…and a hallway…and that’s about it. Her are the pics with some brief descriptions under them. I know there’s a LOT to improve, especially with such primitive modeling/texturing/lighting/everything, and don’t hesitate to criticize, comment on, or even badly rate my pics. I need the feedback. There are many glitches, so tell me what I’m missing (kinda like Where’s Waldo…heh…heh…)

Anyway, here’s the room I just started:

That’s the room, don’t know what’s wrong with the lighting but whatever, it’s just an animation…

Hallway, again something wrong with the lighting

Mirror closeup, just to show off my mad texture-importing skills:cool:

For those of you who don’t know what that is, it’s a poorly modelled 3-d rendering of a “shisha” (A middle-eastern smokeything. It’s real good.)

Again showing off my poor metal-material skills:cool:

That is a shoe. A giant plasma screen shoe.

Well anyway as you can see I still have a loong way to go, and sadly, I tend to give up new projects for the plain simple reason that I am too lazy. Anyway:rolleyes: enough about me, it’s your turn to talk.

P.S. sorry about the left-right scrolling thing, too lazy to fix that ('cause I’m lazy remember)

Ooh, ooh. I know what’s wrong. If you have a lot of windows, you’d be better off getting rid of all of your lights as a start and adding an hdri image for lighting. Then just add spherical lights wherever light sources are.

Will do! I was gonna try to stay out of yafray (despite the thread title…heh…heh…) but I’m starting to understand it would just look so much better with it… even though rendering the animation will suck.:frowning:

Oh, I thought you were doing it in yafray. XD No, there are ways to work around it with the internal renderer, though it’ll require more setting up.

yeah it’s good, but could be very better by using GI in yafray …
Or with blender internal, AO and area lamps !
You could perhaps also postprod the external photo that’s seen out of the windows .

I’m actually working on that right now. Thanks for the advice, keep 'em coming.
