Charles Edouard Jeanneret-Gris, better known, from the 1920s, as Le Corbusier, was a Swiss architect and theorist of architecture, engineer, designer and painter he naturalized French. It is considered one of the clearest examples of modern architecture and one of the most influential architects of the twentieth century.
Exhibition of Decorative Arts in Paris in 1925, was the final impetus for this magnificent architect, was launched to furniture design. If there is a known design of Le Corbusier and his collaborators, it is the LC4, better known as Chaise Lounge. It was presented at the Salon d’Automne of Design 1929, although it was designed for Church House in 1928. It is a purist, radical design, which in its time the recognition that today have become a design classic won.
