Your thoughts? "DataBlock scripts for the python illite

(Warning/Disclaimer I have no coding knowledge but want to make use of the ScriptButtons)

Hi people, I recently looked at a maya tute in Digit mag showing the theory and creation of a simple script. This script calculated the rotation of a wheel based on the movement of a controller object over a flat plane.

it seemed so simple and well explained that I’d love to apply it to blender, and no doubt other python illiterate blenderers would love to have access to simple animation scripts they could link to data blocks and off they go

SO my questions are…

1.Do people have nifty little animation scripts lying around.
2. And if so would people want to “stock pile” them for community use?

I’m thinking of a specific type of script(s) I guess, ones that affect objects in fairly simple ways and are fairly easy to implement (Like the OnGround script). With a few scripts like that around I’m sure it would also make a good learning tool too

Maybe this type of thing is covered somewhere in this large community, please let me know if so.

Something like that?

On my site since april. We talked about the wheel problem on the french forum : news://news.zoo-logique.org/3D.Blender …

something like this?

http://www.actionscript.org/actionscripts_library/index.shtml

of course, named Blenderscript …etc.etc… and available via blender.org as a subset…

… but it would be wise to wait until api and coding witchcraft gets cleaned, stabilised and generally usable. Would be wise to check out Lightwave communities (or something like flay.com) for some inspiration how to simplify it and make it available to ppl who basicaly need to get stuff done …
