This is a simulation of what happens when a Nerve is broken - how it regrows…
Only, I haven’t got as far as it re-growing yet.
I’m using shapekeys rather than a physics sim to brake the nerve. It may be less realistic, but it puts me in grater controll. I’ll have to have the two halves re-connect.
This started as hair, but then got transformed into a series of curves. There’s a Solidify modifier creating the two layers of each strand. Later on, this will become two different curves, and I can control each one’s growth seperately.
I’m hoping to make the entire animation in one single, looping shot - - though there will be invisible edits. There’s allready 2 invisible edits: the sparks and the brake need slightly different set-ups.
