So i’ve been struggling for some time now with a problem, I was following a Tutorial that was made in blender 2.79 and now in Blender 2.8 some things seem to have changed. The situation is the following; I have a render layer with a snowman and one with his scarf (This is because it I use a Dilate on the mask and difference node in order to make the black line around the scarf, as the backface culling inverted solidify technique has clipping issues) and the scarf has to overlap the snowman but not completely (It should be in front of the body but behind the head, and yes I could make them separate layers, but that won’t always be a possibility).
Now I have used the Depth pass and a Z combine node, which works great except for it becoming pixelated (even if I activate Anti-Alias Z). The same happens if I use the mist pass instead of the Depth pass. I haven’t found any other options in Eevee to solve this…
Even if I up the filter size on Eevee, it doesnt affect the mist layer
