Zbrush Vs. Silo

As far as creating displacement mapps how doe Zbrush and Silo compare?

As a long time Silo user, I would say that you can achieve really good detail IF you have a pretty fast computer (ie. CPU and video card).

With that being said, even if you’ve got a top of the line PC, the amount of poly’s you can push in Silo will pale in comparison to what you can do in Zbrush.

Keep that in mind when looking at the programs. If you’re a more traditional modeller (like me), then Silo’s probably a better fit for you. If you’re more of a traditional sculpter, then Zbrush is probably what you want. Also, take into consideration, that Zbrush is a standard in the industry, and Silo is not.
