Zooming: Mesh disappears

Right now, I am in the process of modeling the hands of my character. Whenever I zoom in real close to the fingers, the geometry seem to disappear around that area. Is this a clipping issue? How can I fix this?

Yes, it is. It’s generally better to model on a larger scale to avoid such issues. You can adjust the view clipping distances in the sidebar (View -> Clip Start/End). Just keep in mind that increasing the distance between near and far clipping planes may result in depth artifacts (i.e. z-fighting).

Also note that camera has its own clipping start/end values (separate from viewport).
