Zooming on VSE image preview

I’m using Blender as a video sequencer, putting together a storyboard using images. My problem is that the images I’m using are larger than the size of the image preview area of the Sequencing screen layout. I know it’s possible to pan around the preview area, but is it possible to zoom out so I can see the entire space?

You can do it with images by placing your mouse over the image preview windows and pressing the home key, and to zoom in and out you can use the numpad + and - keys and if you have a mouse with a scroll button that can be used to zoom in and out as well.

Im not sure if this is what you are asking, but for images at least it works for me, though movies i have not tried.
