Looks good! any .blend or .exe of WIP?
Lookin’ Forward to this one!

Wow! Can’t wait!

hmm, a 2D game, brave choice, do look good though.

Wow! This looks amazing!
I’ll definitely be watching this thread.

Ditto

Is this going to be split screen?

Nope, the entire map is one one screen, so you can quite easily find each other and see what the enemy’s up to

More maps will hopefully follow soon, once I get a menu system sorted out…

Doesn’t look like a split screen game, looks similar to a free online game, lol.

So it’s once large screen. Can you tell more game play, like how do you win and stuff like that? :stuck_out_tongue: I already look forward to playing this. Haha.

Well… winning is easy, beat the crap out of the other player until they run out of health! And yes it’s one large screen, the tanks are pretty small, but it’s a lot easier both programming wise and gameplay wise to just have the one large screen… plus, I don’t thing I’ve ever heard of a 2d split-screen game?

Sounds fun

And I agree I’ve never heard of a 2d split screen now that I think of it.

Is there, or will there be, a demo?

Hmm… yeah i wanna see one too!

I have noticed that the logo’s on your games are particularly impressive! Do you have any links… or tips on how to make logos like that?

Thanks

The logo is just a well picked font and color, simple, but effective and awesome.

You could use zero on the numpad.:eyebrowlift:

I think “?” is better cause I’m better at arrow kets with my left hand.

I would think that left ctrl would be easier to hit than the “?” key. And I’m guessing that you mean the “/” keys as “?” would be shift+"/" . Good luck with the competition.

how’s it goin’?

Hey. Simple and nice idea you have there.
… I just thought about… - inspired by your screenshots - have you considered using normal maps for those graphics? Everything should stay like it is (maybe little details here and there) but if you’d use normals and lights for explosions it might give some some nice effects (but there is one condition - lightning have to be set up perfectly - we don’t want to destroy current style/mood of your game - it should stay flat). It have to be tried.

heres quick overpaint of what I’m thinking about:

And I know it’s just a detail.
