CubeSter

No problem , i can always mix other colors in the compositions node editor etc… or use a hue saturation node etc…:eyebrowlift2:

I wrote some code so you can set it to automatically UV unwrap, I am going to make a few more adjustments with that, so that basically you will be able to generate the heights based off of one image, and the colors based off another image. The most recent version can always be gotten here.

Thanks , Uv unwrap works fine .
Excellent idea .

Versions 0.3/0.3.1 has been released. Materials can be either image based or vertex color based. All nodes are added to the material, just not all connected, so they can be mixed between. All meshes are also UV unwrapped now.

Made with Cubester ,Mixed two colors planes images for some color variations .

Love this addon! Gives me ideas! Here is some playing around with it,

I call it mold garden.

That lighting is incredible!

This is a great application! I always love seeing how people use these add-on’s in ways I couldn’t have imagined!

A preview of what is to come:

That means being able to synchronize with music to achieve effects like a graphic equalizer visualizer?
That would be so wonderful

If there was an image(s) representation of the audio, it currently can’t take sound and go straight to cubes, but that could come eventually.

Hi!

Cubester is an amazing addon! Thank you very much
This is a quick animation I made using my dog as a model.

I am just working a couple bugs out and then I should be able to release it!

Version 0.4 is up, image sequences can now be imported and used for animating the height and color of the mesh over time!

Note: the time estimation is a little off currently when using image sequences with a lot of pictures or with a high block/point count. This is because there are two variables which affect the calculations and this makes it harder to make a prediction.

Cool , nice idea :stuck_out_tongue:
Thanks for the new update
