It took me about a month do build, rig and render it.
I’ve used the LDraw meshes, exported them as a template into a CAD-Program, rebuild every piece, export them back to Blender, made the final touch (edge split) aaand finally appended the piece into the main .blend where i assembled everything… :spin:
It’s an amazing work!
It has some nice details that it looks really realistic! As an example I mean all the texts and logos, but especially the fine mechanics which is hidden a bit behind the wheels and the vehicle frame.
I had made my own experience how much time a LEGO model needs – you get my full respect!
Thanks all of you for the nice feedback
A fly by animation would be so great! but this would render forever
There are about 42 million polygons without subdivision and it eats all of my 16gb ram
But thanks to Linux and the command line, I still could render it
Great work! Lego never disappoints
42 million polys is quite a lot. I’m pretty sure you can simplify the pieces without sacrificing details at this distance from the camera.
But still, excellent work!
