Baked texture to new UV map but the new texture is distorted?

Hey all I’ve just learned how to bake a texture from an original object onto a copy of the object that has a different UV map, following this method: https://blenderartists.org/forum/showthread.php?357942-Bake-texture-to-new-UV-Map

I’ve been playing about trying to find a way to fix this but not getting any luck finding it out, does anyone know why this is happening and how to avoid it? Thanks :slight_smile:

Show a screenshot of your unwrap on the low poly.

Supply demo blend file that demonstrates this issue
Check you have no overlapping UVs
