[ If the winner doesn’t supply a theme before Thursday 22:30 GMT, the organizer will select the theme. In this case, the winner’s theme will be used the next time we are lacking a theme on Thursday 22:30 GMT. ]
Having selected the theme, the winner will not be eligible to enter that week. They may however still submit an image, but it won’t be included in the voting.

Question - what happened to the entry that looked like a pumpkin field? I don’t see it in voting or in the entry thread, but I’m sure I recall seeing one there.
Oh Well, vote is in.
I tried to make one this week, I wanted to try and create something similar to a cubism style picture, but couldn’t pull it off. My brain doesn’t not think well in low poly.
Well I guess since the entries are now over and voting has started I will share what I was going to do and see if it gets flagged or requested to be taken down. I am on my old laptop so I don’t have the drivers in the speeder but I have them on my other laptop.
Too bad you could’t post it in challenge. Disney have such restricted copyrights that you can’t even do an image with SW character or scene from movie?

No I just didn’t want to tread on thin ice and after copyrights and trademarked stuff was brought up I figured it best to not do it as an entry to the challenge despite having so much fun making it. At this point the worst that could happen is for it to be requested to be taken down and I will comply. Just copyrights and trademarks have kind of gotten out of hand mainly due to those who try and prey on someone else ideas or works. But no worries. There is always next challenge
As long as you are not making money off of it ( and there is no monetary reward for the weekend challenge), and as long as you are not trying to pass it off as officially related to the IP, it falls under the category of fan art and you will be completely legal and have no problems.
Are you sure? [It may be non-competing but I consider it an entry nonetheless.]
Good question. It probably was replaced by another image. (I hope I didn’t miss it.) There have been a lot of changes and updates this week. (Maybe, this has always been the case and I just didn’t notice it before. I’ve been tracking this more closely this week.)
At first, I thought about making some kind of art joke as an entry. E.g. an abstract painter in a voxel world who paints realistic images which would be considered abstract by the standards of voxel beings. In the end, I didn’t develop this any further as I spent too much time enhancing the voting post generator script .
@Ryeath The pumpkin field was my original idea for my entry but I ended going with something else. I kept trying to add things to make it more interesting, and I didn’t like anything I did to it so I just came up with a different idea. Here is the image I removed.
Thanks for the votes, guys. … My vote went to Fulip, atmosphere, composition, story, it´s all there. Great job, man.
@skadoosh. It´s just a background image. Basically an overlay of a gradient and a paper texture for some more grunge. I rendered the fox on a shadow catcher plane so it could be easily composited later on.
Ugh, I made my first animation with this weeks submission, I made a little clip of the camera panning around the city. I left it to render while at work today and it looks like… Something went wrong! When I go home I immediately noticed that Blender was closed. I went to the exported video and to my surprise the video was there! However upon opening it I learned that it was corrupted, so I am assuming Blender crashed in the middle of the render… Yikes…
So I guess to get around this in the future I should probably just render to still images and then recombine those in some video editor, like blender
@robproctor83, Yep animations are tricky! Best way to make sure you don’t lose any renders do to corruption is to render your animation as pictures and put them together after. Than if it crashes you can just start it up where it stopped.
(would love to see that animation! If you can get it to work.)
