Very nice man, spot on.

Very good, I immediately recognized Louis De Funes even before you said the name! Perfect likeness for me.

hetors . Thanks!
Ranquin . EnV . Thanks guys! Glad to hear there’s some likeness!

Bit of an update. Did a remesh > MultiRez. Then decimated to ~800K. (I’ve been updating the image from the latest post, so even the last YellowShader render from the previous post is that decimated MultiRez model)
Started working on the textures, this is the first pass on the textures and the shader.

Looks really promising! Love the shader!

Impressive sculpts, love the extra work put into rendering and presentation – hadn’t seen that Tissue addon yet either, very cool

Haki . Thanks!
Vrav . Glad you like ’ em. BTW, many thanks for making and sharing your Brush Quickset Addon!!! Makes sculpting so much more fluent, couldn’t work without it!

Updated the shader on this. It’s not using Miscrono’s SSS Shader any more. Switched to the default Cycles SSS following Ranquin’s ten24 skin shader example. Thanks for sharing Ranquin!!
Started working on the hair.

looking nice!

Great render and update Raden. My setup is based on Kent Trammell’s easy skin, if I remember well.
The sss is maybe a little bit too strong ?

nice work OrAnge

iceking, VANDERHORST . Thaaanks!

LOL, that’s an understatement.
I’m like a kid with a new toy … crank it up!

Dialed it down a bit and updated the previous post. Thanks for the wakeup slap in the face
It’s probably still too strong, I might need another jolt soon.

Maybe I’ll still do a few minor tweaks on this, and drop a BG, but this is pretty much it.
I’ll probably post in the Finished Projects section after that.

Amazing work !
Ah, Louis de Funes, oh my long lost youth… laughed so much as a kid watching his movies.

Orange, you just keep getting better

Sanctuary . Thanks. Same hare, his movies were a classic when I was a kid!
Craig Jones . Thanks for the encouragement, sure hope that is true

Here’s something I had not posted before, I usually don’t post stuff I do professionally, and it’s only in the last 2-3 years that I had started integrating Blender as a tool into my professional work.

Anyway, I did 3 sneakers for a commercial project this spring. I did the 3D scan of the real sneakers, then re-topoed and modeled them in Blender. Also created all the displacements in Blneder, geo and then baked the displacement maps. The pipeline was Max+VRay. A friend of mine helped me create the initial VRay shader for the first shoe (blue one in the still), I reverse engineered it for the 2 final ones.

Everything else was done by Think Tank. I though the project turned out well.

This is my VRay test render:

you just keep getting better and better thumbs up

You’ve a new fan! Great work!

And another one haha. Good stuff!

Ranquin, julperado, khalibloo, koos2, ToshiCG . Thanks guys

I’ve been quiet lately, been busy.

Here’s a couple of sculpts from lunch crunchez. The theme was Orcs and Goblins, goal was to get something out of imagination without looking at references.

Goblin was the first one, then I used that same mesh and tried to massage it into an orc.

Just viewport screenshots for now.
