This is my attempt at making a 10’’ macbook. i know its not real… yet. my goal with this project is to make a fairly photo realistic 10’’ macbook. most of it is based on ideas from my old ibook g4 and my mac keyboard. right now i’m working on modeling the ports. i would appreciate constructive comments and criticism
the model looks good so far, if you want a really realistic result in the end you should throw this into indigo.
indigo is really great for anythign thechnical, i had very good experiences with it when modeling my digital camera.
some things you could add are:
some sort of hook or snaping mechanism for the display to stay closed
an on/off switch
little rubber spacers to protect the screen frame from getting scratched on the lower body
dvd drive
It should fit in with the rest of the macbook/pro lineup which have all gone to the aluminium unibody design.

I don’t plan on adding a dvd-drive there really isn’t enough space on a 10’’ notebook, the spacers are a good idea, my ibook had them removed by an idiot before i bought it so i haven’t had time to figure out what they look like much. i also need to add the spacer on the bottom and the battery indicator.
i have an on off switch on it i just hasn’t been textured yet
as for the hook to stay closed non of the current macbooks have one
i’m actually staying away from the unibody design so that it actually fits in just the macbook line which only has the white macbook in it right now.
i have a few thing that i need to finish for modeling like the camera and the rest off the ports then i’m going off into the land of textures
