I’m trying to convince myself that i will finish this car hell or high water (or mountains of chinese homework). i realize that that the windshield has a lot of flaws, im currently working on it. Comments and criticisms are welcome.
Nice work so far. You need to finish the roof of the car and show some up close details of the car.
minor update - added roof, tweaked the windshield (I still don’t think I’m done with it for good) and added some finer details on the chrome piece on the side.
So far, so good. Are you gonna do a motor?? I can see through the front grill. Otherwise, good work.
wow. that’s so epicly awesome.
@Ja-Seen no I’m not making a motor. I put a matte black plane in behind the grille now.
and thanks for the compliments.
as for this update, I’ve made a lot of progress on the rear half. i also tweaked the windshield (again >.<) but i still don’t think I’m done with it.
wow nice car I never knew about this car, I kind of like it more than the Chevy’s Bel-Air which until now was my favorite 1950’s American motor
school is making work difficult, but i added some more details. biggest problem now is figuring out how to make the hood at least LOOK separate from the body. and i don’t think i will make an interior, at least for now :’(
looking good so far - mostly smooth surfaces.
Although there seems to be some pinching in a few areas - can we please see wireframes?
Also, the the tire sides seem to be too flat.
@anuraag the topology seems fine now, it’s just the hdri that’s weird i think. But i might end up rebuilding all the trim and windshield someday.
sorry for the lack of updates, life’s being uncooperative. It looks way better in black i just use cream so i can see what im doing. And im still really giddy about how well the hood texture turned out, will probably use the same technique on the doors until i can make an interior.
Changed the rims, worked on the chrome, built up the headlights and changed the panel gaps.
Still need a few little chrome parts and will need to work on the taillights.
Finished modeling (the exterior anyways) and now trying to make a showroom, i dont want a simple, lame white background. Comments, criticisms and suggestions are welcome.
