2.47: Cannot change filename

Hello.
Ever since I downloaded 2.47 on a WinXP box, I have been unable to change the filename of a file, 'cept with the + key.

So my files are now untiltled, untitled1, etc.

Any tips? Should I go back to 2.46?

iv got 2.47
on winxp
and i have no problams so far
id report it to blender.org as a bug or re install blender 2.47
