In Blender 2.49 there was a nice feature that you could copy weight paint from one mesh onto another. This was an essential tool in my workflow; but I can’t seem to find how to do it in 2.5-2.6; and documentation is well… lacking.
Is there a way to do this in 2.6?

I am fairly new to blender and here’s my situation. Currently I have moved to Blender 2.6a. I have a model that is a single mesh (merged together from 7 separate meshes). I finally got the weighted paint to work very well on my left leg, however, it took all night to do this and I was hoping there is a way to duplicate my efforts. Is there a way, for example, to click on the upper LEFT leg and copy the exact weight distribution to the RIGHT upper leg?
I tried using the x-mirror in weight paint as I was working on the left leg…that doesn’t seem to do what I think it would to the right leg.
I’ve tried to duplicate what I did manually and of course I can’t get it exactly the same.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
