2.5 view manipulation

Hi, I was wondering about something that seems to have changed in 2.5.

In previous versions you could assign whether the middle mouse button by default either panned or rotated the view. For me I preferred to have it pan, I just liked it that way.

I’ve noticed that this option is no longer available in 2.5 or at least I can’t find where it is. Is this feature gone forever or is it on the list to be re-implemented?

Given a choice I’d rather see that feature come back vs. having to relearn how I manipulate the view every time.

I’ll have to dig a little deeper there. I looked at it once & it seemed like a LOT of info.

If it’s your goal to get more conventional view navigation, you could have a look at this:

(even if not, it might help in setting the shortcut for panning)
