[2.57] Point light rays travel through geometry.

I made this condominium building in 2.57, and I want to add point lights to light up only certain floors. However the lights, as you can see in the image, travel through the actual floors into other levels. I’m not sure if this is an issue with my geometry, but I have attached the .blend if anyone wants to take a look.

Make sure you don’t have ‘No Shadow’ selected in the Lamp / Shadow panel. You need the lamp to cast shadows. The point light uses ray shadows so you will also need to select ‘Ray Tracing’ in the Render / Shading panel

Yes I had no shadow selected. That fixed my problem.
