2.82 A wont deselct in edit mode. so like I am pressing A and A and it does not select or deselect. On win 10. So i guess I need to do a bug report later on my phone now.

No, you should not. The behavior of the A key changed with 2.8x. Like @Will_Olis says, by default deselection is now done with Alt+A. But you can go into keymap preferences and set the ‘Select All Toggles’ option, assuming you’re using the default ‘Blender’ keymap, then A will be a toggle like in pre-2.8x days.
