My main take from the keynote is that Blender has a luxury that is refreshing in the 3d world (and not only): not being linked to profit allows them to have a specific, uncompromising, and happily controversial long-term vision.
For the uploads:

all talks are appearing as they’re done, now!
By the way, the mega-custom-render-layer-overview that Blender Bob is demoing here is really great. I’d love to have that shipped natively in Blender.
P.S. what if this thread became “The big bcon22 thread”, for those of us that are watching things from far away? ![]()
Wait a moment, i just realised these are premieres, not livestreams. So there are no livestreams this year then?
I’m not sure what the difference is, I’m watching Simon do his presentation on geonodes and it’s not labeled “live”, so I think you’re correct.
@scopelma I renamed the thread in accordance.
And you’re absolutely right, that’s where the freedom is : freedom from money, freedom from private interests.
You are watching uploaded videos at their premiere…
They are actually live now, not from the theatre though…
Only the daily podcast is actually live, the rest is uploaded immediately after it’s over.
It would be awesome if there was a wiki post anyone could edit, with links to the videos, organized by heading, with a table of contents… @Hadriscus , can I edit your initial post to be a wiki repository of presentation videos?
Please do !
I’m watching Julian’s presentation on the asset browser now… it’s full of good ideas… notably “asset shelves” → https://youtu.be/Ix6cezT3Cr0
All right, now anyone can edit the main post and add the YouTube links. Please do so, and please follow the hierarchy
I’ve added the keynote as an example, as you come across more toss em up there
Had no idea this was a thing. Everyone please be gentle when editing my post
I was wondering how far it was going to go
The metaverse superseding the biodiversity collapse was a nice touch, heheh.
shoutout to @scopelma for getting this morning’s presentations uploaded ![]()
Thank you, it was an excuse to play with this wiki post function ![]()
I’m gonna attempt doing that edge detection geoshader for myself. I want to see how versatile it is, and if I can bake it down.
Which presentation is that from? And where can I get the new node, is it in the latest alpha or a branch?
It’s in the “we can do that with geometry nodes” presentation. Hadriscus links right into the middle of it in his post above.
edit: it starts around 7:37.
