With a Moon and Sun

From time to time I’ve seen people make day/night cycles which repeat every 2 to 5 minutes.

I want to make a really long day/night cycle, a realistic one. As all the ones I’ve seen use IPO animations I thought of that, but really, 24 hours of animation? It’s a bridge too far in my honest opinion.

So this is where I ask you, I’m still sketching out my ideas on the matter and hope that some of you might know how to solve this problem.

Use a property to define the ipo’s position.

Like say a float? We can do that? Intermediate steps?
