2D animating a band poster

What workflow would you do if you were trying to animate a band poster to make a trailer? I am separating the elements I want to animate from this 2D poster in Photoshop. I want to be able to take those assets and use modifiers to animate them. I am then thinking of bringing those assets into Blender using “import images as planes”. Or else I could live trace the elements in Illustrator and import them as bezier curve line work? Are there tutorials that speak to this workflow? If you have done somehting similar what was your approach?

Thanks!!!

I would trace the elements and export them as SVG, then you can import SVG as Grease Pencil objects.

Note: I didn’t watch the videos so I maybe repeating info from them…

With import images as planes you can use 3d modifiers ( eg displace ) and sculpt in 3d .
