Okay here is my second effort at making a 3D Worm. This one is also based on the worm from Worms Armageddon, however not quite as strictly as the original.
Eventually I may animate it after I’ve modelled all the weapons, etc.
After a weeks work, I’m fairly pleased with the worm itself. Although it is my first time at trying out ‘toon’ style rendering.
Here are a few shots of the worm with a couple of the weapons which I’ve made.
The facial expressions are the one thing I’m worried about. The way it is now is the way it was originally modelled, but I’m planning to make various expressions.
So yes his face will be posable - although I haven’t figured out how to make them look that great as of yet. (Particularly with the mouth shut)
I’ve got a two week break from school now, so I shall be able to work on it a bit more. =)

To make it more cartoony, you could try turning the reflections of the eye of, and using a toon-shader for them (if you haven’t allready done that - hard to see)
You could also try making the lines around him a little thicker.
Keep it going - it’ll be great to see it animated!
Tjeiken: Yes I have reflections on a few objects, with the toon shader. I quite like it like this, but I may change it so all of them are non-reflective in the future (depends on how cartoony I want the final thing to be, I guess). And yeah, the lines are one thing I haven’t got quite right yet - and I will be looking into that later on.

Great work so far, but shouldn’t his tail sort of be bent along the ground? That’s how it is in Worms: Armageddon. But I guess this is just your (the artist’s) interpretation.
Fruch: Yeah the eyebrows could be too bold, thanks for pointing that out. I went with it because it looked really plain without, and IMO it gives it some character. Your worm is looking great, nice work :D. Keep going with it.
Saxofoner91: Yeah his tail should be bent, and it will be come time to animate it. The renders are focused on how the weapons look, so I’m not too worried about making the worm accurate at this stage. Thanks for pointing it out, though.
