is there a way to load the 3shape DCM file?
convert 3shape dcm file to stl and load it, the mesh exists but the information(ex : morphing points, boundary etc.) in the existing dcm file seems to be lost. I want to load the 3shape DCM file as much as possible

installed the addon but “pydicom” module was not found.
I found a way to install python module on the blender and tried it , but all of them failed.

3Shape DCM are not standard DICOM files. They are just more like an OBJ or PLY in that they have mesh/color data. I’ve been looking for an import/export solution in Blender for a long time so hopefully one comes along one of these days. I haven’t tried it but did Otog work? I don’t have/use 3Shape at this time but occasionally receive 3Shape DCM files that I need to get into Blender. I use software from a company called Medit (desktop and intraoral dental scanning like 3Shape). The software is Medit Link and it has an addon DCM converter and you can output STL/OBJ/PLY files. The software is free.
