Where’s the video? Your work is always interesting!

I studied four legged walk cycles a while back and learned that there are two styles of walk. I believe they are horse and dog. All animals use one or the other style.

Just a little info to throw at the wall…

there’s an old book on the horse walk cycle, and I have ridden a horse a lot. That’s a good start, but there’s a lot more sway and power mid-stride (acceleration when the two back feet are on the ground). As the front hoof leaves the ground, there is a lack of frontal support, so the shoulders drop. I couldn’t tell from the side view, but there is also a side to side sway as the center of gravity shifts to be over the three feet that are in contact with the ground. I just spent days on a quadruped animation for a game I am working on, so…have patience, and take it one tweak at a time.

@yogyog: Now the video is working.
@PapaSmurf: Thanks for idea.
I am trying more ways to create 4 leg walk cycle.

Maybe can help. Sample with two legs and the tail:). You need only two legs more.

@B65ISP Thanks for the link http://blenderartists.org/forum/showthread.php?t=92909
I opened that thread. Nice t-rex animation. But it seems to have 2 legged walk and run animation. I am trying to experiment with 4 legs. The Above clip is an experiment with 4 Legged Walk Animation. Above 4 Legs ts working fine. You are seeing side view. I am creating a rough mesh with perpective view to show.

The rig is good, but the walk cycle is a little strange. Check out these two videos for some dog walking animation;

See that the legs on the same side move in opposite directions, so that at the furthest extent they are almost touching. Of course it’s different for horses, but most 4 legged animals, including reptiles (just in case you’re making a dragon or dinosaur) walk this way.

Thanks very nice guidance. Good Videos. 2nd one is very good. I will try to do some thing like that.

Lizards? 4-legged neither Horse nor dog.

I am trying to upload a small clip. I have not created mouth and details. Only see the Leg part.
Low Quality Youtube Clip is here http://www.youtube.com/kkrawal7

For sure nice with four legged walk cycles!!!
:eek:
But I also believe in four legged talk cycles or bark cycles. Have a look and listen:

Thansk freeblender for the video link. Nice Bark Cycles.

The bark cycles are done with Puppeteer in DAZ 3D:

Hope Puppeteer will come to Blender soon!
:rolleyes:
Or perhaps you can use some kind of Puppeteer in Blender?
Some tips - thanks in advance.
