While I’m working on some more ambitious and complex projects, I wanted to showcase a single item that has already appeared in two of my previous works: a 19th-century French cavalry saber. Now, I’m not a historian, so I can’t be sure about its exact accuracy, but I found a reference image online that caught my attention. Whether this model appears simple or complex, I’ve actually put a substantial amount of time into crafting it, which is why I felt it deserved its own mention. The most challenging part was definitely the shell-like guard, designed to protect the hand holding the saber.
