A Good tutorial and explanation about subsurface scattering?

Im making a food item where subsurface scattering happens, but i dont know how to use it properly.

what would be a GOOD tutorial about the whole thing and how to use it?

A lot of SSS is just fiddling with it, and seeing what looks good. If you tell us what food specifically, and what you have so far, it might be a little easier to advise.
