I have started working on one with the help of AI. Here is the progress so far. My goal is to make it user friendly. It won’t freeze Blender while running the simulation
I don’t quite understand the question. ![]()
AI is not helpful for beginners.
AI does not show more than what the questioner knows. (It’s just a plausible answer to the question.)
Please refer to the attached lecture
Sorry, I mean I am using AI to help me develop the add-on, not to learn blender. BTW, the cloth looks great in the videos. I noticed they were using Blender 4.2. Isn’t the cloth physics solver different now in 5.2.2? How do the cloth sims look?
I didn’t understand well
(Not an English speaker)
※ I do not have detailed knowledge of the video at the link because I did not produce it.
As far as I know, there are no plans to update the existing cloth simulation (this is not confirmed information)
I understand that it proceeds by adding cloth simulation to the new geometry nodes.
However, I have not actually looked for the exact information on this.
However, it is true that a new cloth simulation has been added to the geometry nodes.
Added a cut function
Physically based cloth tearing
I believe the confusion here is because OP posted this in the technical support section of the forum, so you think they’re asking a question, but in fact, they are working on an addon, and not asking any questions.
and, to the OP, being in the wrong section of the forum, will probably make it difficult for people interested in your project to find it. None of the videos will load for me, so I can’t comment on the actual cloth sim lol.
Thank you for the comments. Yeah, this is not the right place to post this. I did not realize you can not see the videos. That is strange.
The video plays fine.
It seems that some users are having issues.
This is in the wrong section.
I have moved this post to Artwork WIP.
I am extending to full rigid and soft body solver with fracturing support.
