Hey guys, well I was just staring at my desktop and decided that it needed more Blender to the wallpaper. At the time I had added a giant Blender Icon to the near middle of my screen and had the below preloaded ubuntu wallpapers applied as you can see.
So I decided to recreate the hardwood background I currently had, but switch it up a little, and add a dash of blender to it. And BAM. So tell me what you think about it, and if curious about the scene setup, just ask and I will post screen caps.
Hey guys, thanks for the comments. As for ndundupan, I will share the wallpaper no problem. I will upload it after this post for all to use if they would like. And for wallympls, yeah I formed my inspiration for the stock wallpaper that came with Ubuntu. I too felt that a curved hardwood floor was interesting to say the least. And good luck and get being inspired! And of course welcome to the magical world of Blender. haha
thats really good,only improvement I can see is that DOF is a little high, would it be ok with you If this was used as the default background in blenderBuntu2.6? www.blenderbuntu.com
hey… you could just ask me abot it. This scene was done in blender, by me. If i find the .blend file, i will post it later here. This is my testing scene.
Hey bizla, that would actually be awesome. As for Tibicen, your original is quite awesome and realistic. Quite inspiring.
Here’s a screen cap of my scene when I tried my hand at the curved hardwood dimly lit scene. As for the Blender logo its just a plane with a emission shader with the large blender icon .png that comes with blender positioned to shine close to the floor while keeping some focus.
