A Presence - Blender short film

:sparkles: Hey everyone! I’m new here
Super excited (and a little nervous!) to finally share my first solo animated short film — “A Presence” :clapper:

This is a project really close to my heart. I worked on everything myself from storyboarding, animation, compositing, to sound and poured a lot of emotion into it. It’s a quiet, atmospheric piece that explores memory, loss, and the kind of presence you can still feel even after someone is gone. Not a ghost story, but something more subtle like a feeling that lingers in a familiar room.

I hope the mood, style, and story connect with you in some way :thought_balloon::sparkles:
If you’re curious about how I made it, I’ve uploaded the full process and behind-the-scenes on my YouTube channel! :movie_camera::art:
Would love your thoughts, feedback, or even just a little hello in the comments :yellow_heart:

:film_strip: Watch the short + process:

Great work!

That’s quite the cliffhanger though, questions are left unanswered:)

Thank you very much for the feedback! This project is still in development, and the dynamic between the characters is intended to reflect more of a brother-sister relationship.

I featured you on BlenderNation, have a great weekend!

thanks! for the appreciation

You’re on the featured row! :+1:

‘In development’ or not, I think said dynamic is exactly what your work conveys, well done.
Maybe the blinking could have done with more subtlety, if I am to make a suggestion.

greetings, Kologe

Thank you for your input, kologe!. I did face some challenges with facial rigging, but I will certainly strive to improve further in the future.
