A procedural texture with subsurf scat and a glitter effect

Hey Guys,

Can someone help me out with a procedural texture that has subsurface scattering and both a slight glitter effect and tiny rings that can be seen both on the surface and inside the object. They all need to be independently adjustable.

It’s a bit beyond my texturing skills and I might ask you to explain how you did it if it doesn’t make sense to me :wink:

Can you provide some images about what kind of glitter you have in mind, and what you mean by ‘seen both on the surface and inside the object’?

So by glitter effect I mean something a bit like this, but without the light bloom obviously…

By “surface and inside” I mean that it would be visible on the “skin” but also visible inside “the body”.

You mean by inside, also visible when looking on the back side of the mesh, or giving the appearance of parts of the rings vanishing into a translucent medium?
