A question about the action editor interface.

I noticed something odd about the action editor(the one where you place the keyframes, in case there’s some other “action editor”). When I add a new action with the + button, the new action starts off as a copy of the previous one. That’s fine, because I can just box select all the keyframes and delete them. However, when I try to add new keyframes(for an armature) to this new action, Blender creates another new action and adds them to that instead, leaving me with an extra, unused action(which isn’t a big problem, but it’s irritating). How can I make Blender place the keyframes in the action that’s currently open in the action editor instead of making anew one? Thanks in advance.
