A simple landscape

Happy New Year!!

I wanted to do something quite simple, but do it well. Wanted to get something that looked as realistic as I could get it. Hope I’ve achieved that (comments on where I’ve failed welcomed, but #bekind). This is obviously meant to be reminiscent of the famous Sycamore Gap in England, but this doesn’t use the correct topography for that location - I couldn’t be bothered. Nor is this a sycamore. It is an oak tree that I made in PlantFactory - not from scratch; I took one of the oaks from the catalogue and altered the parameters until I got what I wanted. I think its come out OK. We shall call it ‘Lazlo’s Gap’.

The wall is from my geometry-nodes set up (obvs). This isn’t meant to look like the remnants of Hadrian’s Wall either, just a normal, slightly dilapidated, dry stone wall from the English countryside. Includes moss and rubble options.

The grass and rocks from megascans.

I’ll probably continue tinkering to get something I’m really happy with, or upload some of my earlier attempts that might look better (never know when to stop).

Very nice!

Is the van with the 2 idiots and a chainsaw just behind the wall?

Thanks!

I was contemplating doing a version with just a stump!

Yeah, before/after.

Visual joke with the A/B image perhaps?
