Where is the simple merge 
not the W the merge - First last cursor !
i simply want to merge vertex to closest bertex:eek:

In W you have the “remove doubles”, to work with close vertices.
The other way, with more distant vertices is ALT+M.
The W specials merge is the same as Alt-M it then lets you select the order in which to merge, but MADCello has it, use rem doubles in the mesh tools (or w shortcut). You can adjust the merge limit from the Mesh tools panel in Edit mode (i.e how close or far before the vertices can merge).
