Concept Interior scene I made to get the hang of the fantastic LensSim add-on.
Sooo, what have you done with LensSim in this picture?
Hi,
I’ve tried many lenses, and tinkered with a lot of settings, in a few scenes already. I don’t remember exactly the settings for this one shot. I added a second render with a different lens and settings.
In these instances, mainly played with chromatic aberration, lens dirt, some DOF and Glare.
I’m getting used to the whole process though, from choosing the right lens, to position the camera appropriately and to correct and adjust from there using all settings available depending on the shot. I’m having a blast.
It’s like actually having the cameras, and lenses. Some really interesting results can be achieved, all in-camera right in Blender. Pretty cool.
Although I still find a bit puzzling how the camera resets DOF, FOV, chromatic aberration and other parameters depending on what I’m doing. I’ll have to be a little more systematic to see if it’s me, missing an obvious explanation, or there’s a bug there.
Thanks for the info. So far i haven’t tried anything with it, but it looks promising.
