i’m curious what method you use for preventing collisions/overlapping objects in the ampersand ones?

I cant avoid that. I higher the radius of particles to prevent collisions …

yeah… doesn’t work as well with non-spherical shapes. i’m still working at a good (fast) solution m’self.
