Acoustic guitar

This started as an attempt to create a procedural sunburst material. First of all I tried using the distance between the normal and bevel on the whole of a guitar body but that wasn’t so good because the sound-hole affected the result when it should not have. In this version the sunburst material is only applied to the top - the other one had to be on the top and sides or else there would not have been a bevel to compare to the normal.

This mixes two gradient textures and uses mapping nodes to size and place them. Oddly enough, the scale places the effect and the location controls the size in each case. I don’t know why.

Before finishing modelling the guitar I decided to create a single random sunburst material. All of these guitar bodies share the same material. I suspect a more experienced Blender artist could have come up with a more efficient way to do this but it worked for me.
(Edited to show the correct node tree!)
