I’m just messing with gimble’s walk tutorial and as I was manipulating bones I noticed my Action Window and IPO Window have a 2:1 frame anomaly.
While I have 25 frames keyed (and the animation plays properly over 25 frames), the two windows have squashed all keys into 12.5 frames and advance at only “half” a frame for every true frame advance. This makes it next to impossible to set a specific frame by clicking on the window timelines.
I’ve opened a new document with one bone and set keys and this works fine but in the animation file I’m working on, the anomaly remains even after re-opening (even if opened in 2.40, 2.41, 2.41cvs). I’ve tried closing and opening action windows, disabling and deleting existing actions but in this file the anomaly remains.
Edit: I appended the mesh and armature into a new file and it came in with its action intact but using only 13 frames instead of 25. In this case however, the timeline played correctly frame-for-frame and the animation lasted just 13 frames as displayed by the condensed keys. Apparently the original file has a weird corruption.
Any guesses?
