Add Image with Alpha to Diffuse - Cycles SOLVED

Hi,

I’m trying to add a “face texture” to my 3D model, however I can’t seem to get my face texture (which has an alpha) to combine with my diffuse shader (what I want to be the skin).

Here is where I get stumped:


I’m planning on UV mapping it to position it correctly on his face, hopefully no hiccups there, but any advice or help is greatly appreciated!

You can ase a colour mix node to mix the colour of the base with the colour of the image texture with the texture alpha as the mix factor. Then connect this to the diffuse shader. This assumes you want the base colour and texture colour to have the same surface properties
