adding quicktime as a render option

I am trying to find out how to add Quicktime as an output option in the render settings of Blender 2.63. I am using 32 bit Windows XP OS. I have installed the latest quicktime player but it does not show up as an option in Blender. How do I get blender to add it?

Blender dropped quicktime support some time ago because of license problems on Windows. It still exists on Mac.

Is .mov container available via the mpg render type (ffmpg)?

I’m still able to render as mov (on windows), but I believe it depends on the codecs (or software) on your system.

Under output set to MPEG.
Under encoding, Format set to Quicktime and Codec set to H.264

I have both Mac and a PC. I was able to change my Format to Quicktime, but I wanted JPEG2000 codec for transparency support. I’ve installed the codec on both Mac and PC, but am unable to use it.

Any pointers will be really helpful.
